Best Makeup and Beauty Products of March 2020
It’s a crazy time in the world right now and it definitely doesn’t feel like it usually does in the beginning of April.
Whether you’ve been slightly affected or extremely affected by the recent world events, there’s no doubt that ALL of our lives have changed in the last few months.
Even with all the changes happening around us, there’s one thing I didn’t want to change – and that’s sharing my monthly favorite beauty products with you!
These monthly favorites posts have been a constant on my blog for years now and let’s be honest, almost nothing could ever take away my love for makeup and beauty products!
Of course, because of everything that’s happening right now, I didn’t have a chance to try out a ton of new beauty products in March, but I still have some awesome products that I’m very excited to share with you!
So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Kylie Cosmetics – Kylighter
In True Mama, Cheers Darling, and Ice Me Out (L-R)

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve mentioned any product by Kylie Cosmetics on my blog.
I don’t know why – I’ve kind of just forgotten about the brand for a while. But, I saw an ad for a sale while browsing facebook (yes, those ads totally get me all the time!), so I decided to take a look.
When these individual pressed highlighters were initially released, I remember the public reaction to them wasn’t overwhelmingly good, so I passed on them at the time.
However, I read reviews on the more recently released shades, and they convinced me to pick up a few shades.
AND I LOVE THEM.
The formula is pretty much what you’d expect from a decent quality pressed powder highlighter – it’s smooth without being too powdery, but it doesn’t have a “wet” texture like the Kylie Cosmetics Wet Set does.
Overall though, it’s a nice feeling pressed powder highlighter formula that doesn’t accentuate texture, can be both subtle and blinding if built up, and it lasts all day.
I love all three shades that I purchased, but my favorite of the three is definitely Cheers Darling, which is a light champagne gold.
Everything about this shade is perfect for me – I love the golden warmth in it and it can be built up to a blinding level.
It actually reminds me a lot of Rodeo Drive by Ofra, which is one of my all-time holy grails.
Ice Me Out is an icy champagne shade with a slight yellow gold undertone.
I would like it even more if the undertone was more of a peachy shade because yellow gold tends to look really yellow on me.
But, it’s still a beautiful shade that I use when I really want a bright highlight.
True Mama is part of the KoKo collection (Khloe’s collection) and is a soft rose gold.
Of the three shades I bought, this is the most subtle shade. I love the rose undertone of this shade, but I would love it even more if it was as bright as Ice Me Out.

Kylie Cosmetics – Shimmer Eye Glaze
In Ocean Child, Dime Piece, and Money Ain’t Everything

I bought these on a whim, just because I saw they were on sale (which makes me think that these particular shades might be discontinued).
My love for glittery shadows as a lid shade is no secret if you’ve read any of my other posts, so I had very high hopes for these.
From just reading the description on these eye glazes, I expected them to be very similar to the ColourPop Super Shock Shadows – and they totally are.
They have a soft, cream-like texture that provides amazing pigmentation in just one swipe across the lid with a fingertip.
That’s also my one gripe with this product though – it’s best applied with a fingertip, but because it’s pressed so far down into the container it’s in, I can’t reach it with my finger because I have very long nails LOL.
So, since taking the photo above, I have completely ruined how pretty these shadows are by scraping some out so I could actually use it.

Malie Organics – Mango Nectar Body Cream

I’m sure with the heightened awareness surrounding hygiene, I’m not the only one that has been washing my hands like crazy, resulting in dry skin on my hands.
It’s SO important to use some kind of lotion or moisturizer on your hands after washing them to restore some of the moisture that the soap has stripped away.
Malie Organics makes amazing products and their Body Cream has been my recent favorite to use on my hands after washing them.
Although it’s called a body cream, the consistency is very much like what you’d expect from any hand/body lotion. It isn’t so thick that it leaves your hands feeling greasy after application.
If you are not familiar with Malie Organics, they are a Hawaii-based luxury brand that makes the most amazingly scented products. I’m not even joking – I can’t stop smelling my hands after using this cream.
It’s no exaggeration that all of their products make you feel like you’re in a spa and vacationing in Hawaii.

Malie Organics – Mango Nectar Body Gloss

The Mango Nectar Body Gloss smells just as yummy as the Body Cream, but is much thicker and meant for deep moisture that lasts longer than what you would get with a lotion.
It’s made by whipping botanical butters with extra virgin coconut oils to form a thick, smooth mixture that provides a glossy radiance on the skin (hence the name!), without leaving your skin feel greasy.
The texture is kind of balm-like, which melts into the skin on contact, and you can use it on both dry and wet skin.
I always have dry elbows from constantly leaning on a desk (I know, bad posture), but this body gloss has worked miracles on my elbows!
