Hi, friends! I absolutely cannot believe that August is gone and it’s already September! Time has just been flying by so quickly, it’s crazy! We just finished our trip to Honolulu and I was hit with a cold as soon as I got home. 🙁 Justin is now in Malaysia visiting family and I, unfortunately, was not able to join him. However, we both will be starting new jobs in the next few weeks, which is a very exciting start to the next chapter in our lives. Now that I’m back home and have some time, I’m hoping to get a bunch of new blog posts out for you all! I have tons of new makeup and brushes that I’m excited to share! For today’s post, I know it’s a little late, but I’ll be sharing my favorites of last month—a few newbies and a few oldies, but all around goodies!
Urban Decay – Naked Heat Palette
This bad boy makes it into my favorites list two months in a row! I absolutely love this palette! I find myself reaching for it almost every day. I can do so many different looks with this palette, from subtle everyday looks to dramatic smoky looks. It’s amazing. I’m always impressed with the quality of the shadows—the mattes are so pigmented and blendable and the shimmer shades are stunning. I can see this palette staying in my “go-to” collection for a very long time. Hands down, my favorite Naked palette.
Tarte – Tartelette in Bloom Palette
This palette has been my ride or die for soooo long. As you can see from the photo, it has definitely gotten some use. I use the shades Smarty Pants and Jetsetter every day for my brows and I use the shades Sweetheart and Rebel for a natural everyday look. I’ve been wearing lighter makeup recently just because we’ve been so on-the-go and I don’t want to spend over an hour on my makeup, so I’ve been using this palette very often. I’ve pretty much only been using this palette and the Naked Heat palette in the last month. This is one of the most versatile palettes I own because of the wearability of the color range. It’s nothing too bold or crazy, just very neutral and pretty. When I’m traveling, I often only take this palette with me. Loves itttt.
e.l.f. Cosmetics – Corrective Concealer: Erase & Conceal
I love this! This was my first color corrective product and it is amazing! I’ve been using the green shade a lot to correct redness and the yellow shade to correct dullness in my under-eye area. It does its job perfectly! However, I did notice that it makes my entire face appear lighter after applying my foundation over it, which makes sense, since the base is no longer my natural skin tone. I haven’t quite figured out how to get around that yet (partly because I don’t mind looking lighter LOL), but I’m pretty sure I’m just not blending it out enough. The pans are pretty shallow and you don’t get a lot of product, but for the price that e.l.f. sells this for ($4), I have no complaints and it will definitely be repurchased.

e.l.f. Cosmetics – Powder Blush Palette: Light
This is such an amazing blush palette for only $6!! The bottom right shade is my favorite and it reminds me a lot of NARS blush in Orgasm, but more subdued. All of the shades come off a lot lighter than they look in the pans, but I like that about them because I don’t like wearing really bold blush colors. The palette is really versatile to fit any eye look I create and the top right shade can even be used as a light bronzer (on my skin tone) for days I just want a little color.

Physician’s Formula – Butter Bronzer: Light Bronzer
I have put off buying this bronzer for so long! It’s not the cheapest drugstore brand, so when I saw a sale at CVS for 40% off, I had to get it! And I totally regret waiting for so long before buying this. I absolutely love it! First of all, the smell is amazing! It smells like coconut…? I think it’s coconut. It smells like you’re at the beach! It just has that tropical smell to it. I know that probably makes no sense, but hopefully you understand LOL. I got it in the light shade because my skin tone is very fair and I’m not used to using a lot of bronzer. I could not be happier with this shade, it complements my skin tone perfectly and I can use it for a light contour shade on days I don’t feel like doing a heavy contour. It’s great!
And, that’s it for this favorites post! I wish I had more new products to share with all of you, but hopefully I will next month! As always, I’d love to hear what you guys think of these products and if you have any recommendations for things I should try. 🙂
Thank you so much for reading! Until next time. <3
